LinkOne steps up to rival the NBN with core network upgrade
LinkOne has invested into Juniper Networks MX960 Edge Routers throughout the East Coast to gear up and cater for the overwhelming response of service providers choosing fixed wireless internet over the NBN.
Chief Executive Officer of LinkOne Networks, Todd Maunder, said that “we selected Juniper SDN routers to enable us limitless and autonomous scalability, we will be able to handle over 10Tb/s of traffic per POP, with a fully redundant and software configurable platform.”
LinkOne currently use point-to-point 5G utilising the latest in ultra-low latency Millimetre Wave (MMW) technology to deliver ground-breaking performance which rivals the NBN.
The ACMA licensed telecommunications carrier partner with service providers to distribute high-capacity internet over wireless to Australian organisations, universities, schools and small businesses.
“Our network is an advanced and state-of-the-art approach to internet. This new technology we have deployed ensures we remain at the forefront of innovation in the telecommunications industry,” Todd Maunder, CEO.
Chief Technology Officer, Matt Maxwell is very excited about what advancements this new technology will bring to the company. “This investment will bring a 25-fold increase in network and carrier aggregation capacity, a growing number of large ISP’s and MSP’s rely on our network to deliver their clients affordable, consistent and high-speed internet.” Mr Maxwell said.
In addition to the rollout of the new Juniper core, LinkOne Networks are deploying fixed point-to-multi-point 5G panel antennas offering capacity of 10Gb/s, which will be trialled at selected industrial and business parks from March 2019.
LinkOne is the primary upstream carrier of Anttel Fixed Wireless Ethernet.
